From 2024, the AFP will sponsor in full an eligible candidate’s first attempt and one re-sit attempt at the AFP Entrance Exam (conditions for re-sits apply).

Provided you achieve the minimum standard for the Emotional Intelligence assessment but fail to achieve the minimum standard for one or more components of the cognitive testing (literacy, numeracy, abstract reasoning or the online writing assessment) you are eligible for a one re-sit attempt. Candidates are only required to re-sit the exam components they have failed. All other components that have met the AFP minimum standard remain valid.

If you do not meeting the minimum standard for the Emotional Intelligence assessment on your first attempt, you are not eligible to re-sit any component and are required to wait 12 months before you can apply again. Upon re-application you will be required to sit the full Entrance Exam again.
