The AFP will subsidise the main portion of an eligible candidate’s first attempt at the AFP Entrance Exam. The fee to sit the AFP Entrance Examination is $90 (GST inc).

If you achieve the minimum standard for the Emotional Intelligence assessment but fail to achieve the minimum standard for one or more components of the cognitive testing (literacy, numeracy, abstract reasoning or the online writing assessment) you are eligible for a second attempt.  You have the opportunity to book a re-sit after a minimum waiting period of two months. Candidates are only required to re-sit the exam components they have failed. All other components that have met the AFP minimum standard remain valid.

When you register online, you will be required to pay by credit card (Mastercard and Visa, including debit cards, or AMEX and Diners cards).

The online payment option operates through a secure e-commerce facility on the ACER website. Credit card details are not recorded or stored by ACER. They are encrypted at point of capture and transmitted directly to the bank, without entering ACER information systems.

Exam bookings are not finalised until payment has been made.

Please note that your credit card statement may list ACER as the recipient, and a specific reference to AFP Entrance Exam may not be mentioned. If you (as the person registered to sit the AFP Entrance Exam) or any other person wrongfully dispute the amount charged to the credit card provided to complete the registration, your registration may be cancelled, your results may be withheld or you may be blocked from taking further tests administered by ACER.
